Overview of this location
The approach to Hie Shrine, the guardian shrine of Takayama, whose annual rite is the spring Takayama Festival itself. The path leaves the housing at the foot of Shiroyama and enters the cedar groves, the sounds of the town falling away by degrees. The shrine is also known as the model for Arakusu Shrine in the series.
