Overview of this location
Ipponsugi Hakusan Shrine, folded into a residential block. Its cedar, the Yatate-sugi, is reckoned 1,200 years old and holds prefectural natural-monument status. Shrine and grounds are tiny against the tree, producing the strange impression of an ancient giant growing straight out of the neighbourhood.
