Overview of this location
Minashi Shrine, the first shrine of Hida province, venerating Mt Kurai as its sacred mountain. At the Ikibina Festival each April, women process through the grounds costumed as hina dolls. The precinct before the main sanctuary is normally closed, so worship is from the outer hall.
