The Nakanokura Tunnel on the Motosu-michi. A trail from the lakeshore climbs to the Nakanokura Pass viewpoint above it, where you can stand on the spot of the 1,000-yen-note photograph. The tunnel itself is a plain bore — what stays with you is the colour of the lake bursting in as you emerge.
