The Nio gate of Kozenji in Komagane, the entrance to the old temple nicknamed the 'dog temple' for enshrining the legendary hound Hayataro. From here the cedar-lined approach runs to the main hall — weeping cherries in spring, luminous moss in the stone walls in early summer.
