The Garden of Words

Takao, a high school student aspiring to be a shoemaker, skips school on rainy mornings to draw shoe sketches in a Japanese garden within a park.

One day, Takao meets Yukino, a mysterious older woman who drinks canned beer by herself. The two begin to meet only on rainy days, without any prior arrangements, and gradually develop a rapport.

Yukino says she has lost her place in the world, and Takao wants to make shoes that will make her want to walk more. The rainy season is about to end, despite their mutual feelings, which are as gloomy as the June sky.
