Overview of this location
Asahi Inari Shrine in Ginza, whose sanctuary sits on a building's roof, connected to the ground-floor worship point by a pipe that carries sound between them. The shrine was buried in the 1923 earthquake and rebuilt, of necessity, on top of the building.
