In 1865, Kaminarimon Gate was destroyed by fire. It remained unrebuilt for a long time afterward, but reconstruction was finally realized in 1960 through a donation by Konosuke Matsushita, founder of Matsushita Electric.

For this reason, Kaminarimon Gate is absent from this scene in the anime.
