Overview of this location
A walking path of about two kilometres running south from near Ginkakuji along a branch of the Lake Biwa Canal. It is named for the philosopher Nishida Kitaro, who is said to have walked it while thinking, and cherry trees line the water — in spring the surface disappears under petals.
