Overview of this location
The T-junction where Shirakawa-dori meets Kitaoji-dori. Kitaoji is the main east-west axis across northern Kyoto, and this is its eastern end. Head west for Kitaoji Vivre and Daitokuji; east, Shirakawa-dori climbs toward the hills. The junction marks the seam between the city grid and Higashiyama.
