Overview of this location
A walking path following a branch of the Lake Biwa Canal. The channel loops north from Keage, passes along the Philosopher's Path and carries on toward Shirakawa and Matsugasaki. It is the same waterway, but unlike the tourist-heavy stretch this section is purely a local walk.
