Overview of this location
Kyoto Tower reflected in the glass of the station building. Completed in 1964 at 131 metres, it remains the tallest structure in the city. It reads as a candle, but the design was conceived as a lighthouse for a landlocked city. The observation deck gives a full circle of the basin.
