Overview of this location
The viewing area at the summit of Mount Iwata. From around 160 metres the whole Kyoto basin opens out, as far as Mount Hiei and Kyoto Tower on a clear day. The macaque troop moves around the same open ground, so you end up watching the view and the animals at once.
