Overview of this location
The area around a marker for a vanished bridge at the foot of Togetsukyo. The name Kotokiki — koto-hearing — is said to come from the tale of Kogo no Tsubone, who played the koto in Sagano while a messenger tracked her by the sound. The stone itself is small and easily walked past.
