The flagship of a Western-style restaurant on Kitayama-dori, founded in 1897. Its signature dishes are a hamburg steak served wrapped in foil and a whole-tomato salad. It was trading here long before Kitayama became fashionable — one of the grand old names of Kyoto yoshoku.
