Overview of this location
A Nichiren temple in Matsugasaki, universally known as Matsugasaki Daikokuten. It holds the Daikokuten seat on Kyoto's Seven Lucky Gods circuit, with fair days on the kinoene days of the old calendar. The hill behind it is where the myo-ho characters of the Okuribi are lit — on 16 August the fire letters rise directly above the temple.
