Overview of this location
The torii on the approach to a shrine in Kohata, Uji. An ancient foundation enshrining Ame-no-oshihomimi, said to predate the Jinshin War of 672. The area was once the Fujiwara clan's Kohata estate, and the tree-lined approach survives as a green ribbon through the modern housing.
