The nagayamon gate of the Okawa family in Omosu, Uchiura — an Edo-period village headman's gate, samurai-residence in style, surviving improbably in a fishing village. Viewing is of the exterior only, but with the stone walls and fences around it, it conveys how deep the settlement's history runs.
