Overview of this location

Inside a train on the Kashima Rinkai Railway's Oarai-Kashima line, which links Mito and Kashima. Opened in 1985, it is a relatively new line built largely on viaduct, so it runs looking down over rice fields and the water of Lake Kitaura. Its wrapped livery trains, born from the town's link with the series, have become a draw in themselves.
