Overview of this location
A residential block in Matsugasaki Kowakicho, east of the Takano River. Two hills rise just to the north, and on the night of 16 August they carry the burning characters myo and ho of Kyoto's Gozan no Okuribi — visible straight on from the lanes and rooftops here. The rest of the year it is a quiet grid with little traffic.
