The junction of Shirakawa-dori and Manshuin-michi. Head east and uphill along Manshuin-michi and you reach the temples on the Ichijoji hillside — Manshuin, Shisendo, Enkoji. The lanes up there are too narrow for coaches, so from this corner onward most people continue on foot or by bicycle.
