Overview of this location
A 60-metre observation tower beside Oarai's port, completed in 1988. Its narrow triangular silhouette, modelled on a sail, is the first thing you see when arriving by ferry. From the observation floor the view takes in the Pacific, Lake Hinuma, and on clear days as far as Mount Fuji and the mountains around Nikko.

A collaboration café on the second floor of Oarai Marine Tower, open since March 2015 and still where fans gather over food and drinks themed on the series. Character panels and displays fill the room, and the tower's observation deck upstairs looks out over the whole town, the port and the Pacific beyond it.
