A spot facing Kitayama-dori. Laid out from the 1970s onward, this is one of Kyoto's newer streets, and with no temples or shrines on it a distinctive run of patisseries, galleries and furniture shops grew up instead. Details on individual shops are scarce, so check on the ground.
