Overview of this location
The bridge carrying Kitayama-dori over the Takano River. Face north from the railing and Mount Hiei stands square in front of you; face south and the river runs away toward the city. It is a short bridge with pavements on both sides, but those two views stop a surprising number of people mid-crossing.
