Overview of this location
A level crossing on the Eizan Electric Railway. The line opened in 1925, and its two-car trains run from Demachiyanagi toward Yase-Hieizanguchi and Kurama, passing close enough to the houses to brush their eaves. The barriers are down only briefly, and the silence afterwards is total.
