Overview of this location
An old shrine in Murasakino, famous for the two rival aburi-mochi shops facing each other on its approach, one of which claims a Heian-period founding. Keishoin, mother of the shogun Tsunayoshi, came from this neighbourhood and rose spectacularly — which is why the shrine is linked to the phrase tama no koshi, marrying up.
