Overview of this location
A large city park centred on Takaragaike pond. The pond was dug in the Edo period as an agricultural reservoir; today a walking path of about 1.5 kilometres rings it. Mount Hiei and the Kyoto International Conference Center stand behind, and the reflection of the mountain in the water is the standard shot.
